It was already more than hundred years ago when the first guests came here. The climatic health resort of Höchenschwand is situated at a height of 1015 metres on the crest of an enormous mountain massive in the southern Black Forest which falls sharply down to the Rhine valley. The climate is similar to that of the “Swiss highlands” midway between the low mountain range and the Alpine climate. Thanks to its situation on the heights above the lower inversion layer, Höchenschwand is one of the sunniest villages of Germany.
