"Helping you to help yourself"

The social counselling is a special service of the clinic for rehabilitation patients of the “Deutsche Rentenversicherung” (German pension insurance) and of public or private health insurances. We give assistance to rehabilitation patients, who are gainfully employed or who seek reintegration after a long illness either in their old job or in another job according to their abilities.
Frequently, it becomes that it is necessary for health reasons to reconsider the life planning and therefore to think of new professional perspectives.

We are providing the following services in our house:

Social security counselling:

Any person can get into distress or in any situation, in which he or she needs public aid, due to an accident, to illness, to disability, to a loss of autonomy, to death or loss of the partner, to unemployment or to an insufficient income.

The social security includes the following aids:

child benefit, “education aid”, maintenance, job promotion, professional rehabilitation (integration in professional life), rehabilitation and integration of disabled persons, ALG I and ALG II (unemployment benefit), income support, housing allowance, debt consulting (basic information and information on assistance centres)

Counselling for family problems:

Divorce/separation, matrimonial conflicts, educational problems (concerning these issues, we provide contact addresses at home)

Social counselling for grave disability:

We help you to fill in the request forms concerning first claims or requests for a higher disability grade (reassessment of the disability grade).

Assistance in professional issues:

Assistance concerning applications (job search, letter, curriculum vitae, job interview, etc.), general advice, help and suggestions to find professional perspectives

Aftercare programs:

intensive rehabilitation aftercare, outpatient stabilization program, outpatient physiotherapy, self-help groups, establishment of contacts with health insurances, pension insurances, nursery services, doctor’s practices and medical equipment shops.

Professional rehabilitation:

The rehabilitation consultant of the “Deutsche Rentenversicherung – Baden Württemberg” (German pension insurance, subsidiary of Baden-Württemberg) provides the rehabilitation counselling in our house, concerning the professional rehabilitation. Our physicians inform the patients of the consultation date.
