Manual therapy

The concept of the orthopaedic manual therapy is based on a thorough manual examination. Its results allow setting up a hypothesis concerning the origins of the disorders as well as on the kind and the location of the affected structure (joint, muscle, nerve). This hypothesis is the basis of the treatment.

The manual therapy has the following advantages:

  • special manual techniques help to improve the mobility of the joints, muscles and nerves and to relieve pain
  • a repeated evaluation after each treatment enables the therapist to control permanently the situation and to adjust the treatment, if there is need
  • when the hypothesis is confirmed by the success of the treatment, special exercises are assigned to the patient in order to strengthen the affected part and to improve its mobility (medical training therapy)

The manual therapy follows the maxim “Helping you to help yourself”.
