Urology

Which patients can be treated?

A particular attention is given to our competent department of urology. Our therapy offer concerning tumours in urological parts appeals to patients suffering from the following diseases:

  • kidney carcinoma
  • prostate carcinoma
  • testicle carcinoma
  • bladder tumours with or without urinary stoma (artificial urinary exit)

Therapy goal

BeratungAny tumour therapy, such as surgery, chemo-therapy or radiation therapy, has more or less serious consequences. Containing the consequences of the tumour and its therapy is the major aim of our treatment. The disease can result in temporary troubles, such as pain, wound healing problems or incontinence, but also in permanent handicaps, such as a stoma. We are endeavouring to optimize the urostoma care and to instruct our patients in the autonomous handling of the urostoma material. A secure and skilful handling of the stoma improves the quality of life.

General goals of our oncological rehabilitation:

  • transmission of information:
you should know as much as possible about your disease, for example about cancer genesis, therapeutic opportunities, reasonable nutrition and psychological coping with the illness in order to acquire more confidence in the handling of the new living situation, which requires many decisions and brings about many changes
  • psycho-oncological assistance: the dealing with your illness creates mental stress; the exchange of experiences in group talks, individual talks as well as the learning of relaxation techniques help to cope with this difficult situation
  • clarification of social questions: advice on legal and financial issues is important and helpful concerning your social and professional reintegration

Therapy concept

TherapieOur therapy concept is based on modern treatment standards. The long time experience in the treatment of tumour diseases, wounds and stoma in our clinic as well as the regular professional training of our physicians, our therapists and our nursery staff guarantee the maintenance of our competence and of a high and constant therapy quality. Within our holistic treatment there is a permanent exchange between psychologists, physiotherapists, nutrition consultants and social workers.

Additionally we offer among other therapeutic measures:
