Oncological rehabilitation for tumour patients

The diagnosis “cancer” is a terrible shock for anyone. The tumour treatment (operation, chemo-therapy) is involved with more or less serious consequences for the patient. It can cause temporary troubles or definite handicaps. Frequently, the concerned patients don’t become aware of the various difficulties until the emergency treatment in hospital is concluded. It is at that moment, when the oncological rehabilitation starts.

The rehabilitation after a cancer treatment aims at restoring the health, the vigour and the professional abilities. A highest possible quality of life shall be assured by therapeutic measures including physiological, psychological and social aspects.
